Market reports are out for October 2014 from the Western Upstate MLS, and the news is good!  Over the last 12 months, sales were up 5.2% with the average number of days on market coming in at 122 days.  Overall sales prices increased nearly 4% averaging $137,500 for the Western Upstate.

The city of Anderson saw 222 new listings in October and 83 closed sales.  The average sales price for properties located within the city limits was $135,000 and the average number of days on market was 102.

Lake Hartwell properties showed the most improvement with 88 new listings, 33 closed sales and an average sales price of $198,500 - all up from October 2013.  Homes were on the market an average of 110 days.

Thirty-one homes on Lake Keowee sold in an average of 237 days with an average sales price of $418,000.  In October, there were 47 new listings.
